Come on, witnessing to a zombie, are you for real?

What is a Zombie

I bet you didn’t know Zombie’s were mentioned in the Bible. Actually, there are two types of Zombies.

First Zombie Type

Zombies are considered to be undead and do not have a functioning heat that pumps blood. In Ezekiel 36, the bible describes two types of hearts. One made of stone and one made of flesh. Unlike the heart of flesh, the heart of stone cannot pump blood. More important, is the Spirit of God and Jesus Christ cannot live in the hard heart made of stone. They require a soft heart made of flesh.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 New King James Version (NKJV)I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

Meaning of a stony heart:

A heart of stone is characterized as cold, unresponsive, and impervious to the truth or the Holy Spirit. It represents a state of spiritual hardness and a lack of receptivity to God’s message and grace.

God’s Promise of a new heart:

God promises to replace the stony heart with a heart of flesh, which is a heart that is sensitive, obedient, and responsive to God’s guidance and love.

Symbolism:

The imagery of a stone versus flesh highlights the contrast between hardness and softness, coldness and warmth, and rebellion and obedience. The heart of flesh is a symbol of God’s desire to restore humanity to a relationship of love and trust.

Zombie with a Heart of Stone

So here we have a perfect description of a Zombie, who is one with a heart that cannot pump blood and does not have Christ living within it. A Zombie is a classic example of a lost person. But, by God’s grace, He provides a way out of our doomed Zombie life and into an abundant life of love, trust and forgiveness. Jesus Christ is that way out!

Second Zombie Type

In addition, Hebrews 6:4 describes another type of Zombie. An Enlightened Zombie who lives in sin while claiming to be a Christian. For example, a real loving couple who live together outside of marriage. Or someone living in a same sex marriage. In addition, there are drunks, druggies, people consumed by anger, liars, thieves, and violent people. They all live in their sin while proclaiming they are a Christian.

So, while living in their sin, they attend church, sometimes twice a week, worshipping YHWH with their lips instead of an obedient heart. Rom 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. Heb 6:4 For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, Heb 6:5 and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, Heb 6:6 and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.

You see, there are Christians who sit in church and hear the Word (making them enlightened). In addition, they may have even said the sinner’s prayer, but they live like they never heard it. Consequently, these people are like zombies they have no heart of flesh. Yeshua says if you love Him you will obey Him. When you do, He and His Father (YHWH) will come into your heart and live within you. Without Elohim living within you – you are a living corpse (the walking dead – a zombie).

Ezekiel and Hebrews

Content in Ezekeil:

Ezekiel’s prophecy is directed toward the Israelites who have turned away from God and are living in a state of disobedience and sin. The promise of a new heart is a message of hope and restoration, indicating God’s desire to redeem His people.

Content in Hebrew:

Hebrews talks about Christians who hear God’s Word and ignore it. They continue to live in a state of disobedience and sin; consequently, their heart of flesh slowly turns to stone.

Relevance today:

The concept of a “heart of stone” is still relevant today, as it speaks to the human tendency to harden our hearts to God and His message. It reminds us that we all need God’s grace and power to renew our hearts and make them receptive to His will.

Here is a Battle Plan for Witnessing to a Zombie

Remember, you are witnessing to a Zombie and by interacting with a person who has a heart of stone or who has been enlightened. They may or may not have heard the Gospel. They may attend church either weekly or occasionally and they may even proclaim to be a Christian or at least religious. If they know about Jesus it’s usually only head knowledge.

While witnessing to Zombie, they may or may not want to discuss Bible topics and if they do, they think they are OK. The most popular rational is usually they are a good person and that’s enough to get into Heaven. Beware, they don’t like being told they must obey or that being a homosexual is sin things like that yada, yada, yada!

Witnessing to a Zombie is a Requirement for Every Christian
