Paul warned us, in 2Ti 4:3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. 2Ti 4:4 They will reject the truth and chase after myths

Much of the information on this website has been taught for 1,800 years by great theologians, and it’s only been during the last few centuries that Messiah’s Church has lost the truth about prophecy fulfillment.

For the first 60 years of my Christian life, I was a Christian who simply believed what my Pastors and Sunday School had taught me about the end times.

What they taught lined up with what my Life Application Study Bible and what the TV Evangelist were teaching, which lined up with what I heard popular Pastors like Charles Stanley, Chuck Swindoll, Billy Graham and  David Jeremiah teach.

After all, they’ve been to cemetery or is that seminary, so surely they know the proper interpretation of prophecy verses. There was no reason to doubt them…

Until I heard two leaders of a men’s Bible study tell a group of 18 new Christians, who were split on the Once Saved Always Saved (OSAS) debate and were seeking guidance on which side was correct. The well meaning leaders, while looking at their watch, told them to just pray about it and the Spirit will tell you which side is right. I was lost for words but, YHVH wasn’t.

Yahusha used that moment to start me on a journey that has captivated my Bible study ever since. I’m still on that journey and I have learned how the Bible explains prophecy fulfillment which to my amazement is contrary to many of the teachings from Pastors of today. YHVH also provided an explanation for the new Christians and their OSAS debate which I linked to here.

Lukewarm Church of Revelations

The church of the end times is described as the the lukewarm church. How does a church that was once on fire for Elohim become lukewarm?

If you, mix hot and cold water you get lukewarm water. So, if you mix truth with lies you get a lukewarm message. Where would a Christian hear truth mixed with lies? None other than the church, pastors, teachers, commentaries, books, Christian radio and TV. But when did the lukewarm church start?

The lukewarm status of the church didn’t happen overnight. Satan ramped up his influence when we had the ability to reach the whole world with the Gospel using technology. Starting with the printing press in the 1500s followed by radio, TV and the internet. In the 1870s we saw the beginning of Jehovah Witness, Mormons and other denominations. In 1909 we saw the Schofield Reference Bible introduce the futuristic interpretation of of the Bible, a total new approach to interpretation. In that last 40 year period, Satan stepped up the mixing of truth and lies to a new level which set the stage for the End Times and ushered in the lukewarm church.

When I saw the trend, similarities and impact of false teaching in that 40 year period, the Holy Spirit put on my heart to look for theologians, commentaries, Bibles, and other research material that was  produced prior to the 1870s which have not been corrupted by all of the new deceptions, that have really taken hold during the last century.

I could not find any harmony in the Bible until I got out of denominations. Like a snake shedding its skin, in order to grow, I had to shed all the theological denominational dogma (something held as an established opinion) I had learned. For instance, the Once Saved always Saved (OSAS) doctrine caused such frustration in my Christian walk, I once told God I have had enough. People spouted verses proving you could lose your salvation, while others screamed verses saying you couldn’t. I felt like a ping pong ball. Then, one day I read Rev 18:4; and I walked out of the Baptist denomination and left the 9,999 other denominations behind. And unlike Lot’s wife, I never looked back.

WOW, it was like the sky turned bright blue again, how long had it been since I saw such a beautiful blue sky. I discovered the harmony within the Bible. Everything began to fit together and actually made common sense. The truth is so simple. Contradictions began falling off like scales. My eyes began to open revealing a truth that had been polluted with pride, contradictions, confusion, division, and deceit, all wrapped up into denominational theology.

Would you really like a breath of fresh air? Begin studying using the old commentaries to wash away the lukewarm message of today’s’ teachings. Study what the apostles, commentaries and theologians of the early church taught before the Roman Catholic Church, before 300 AD. Study commentaries and theologians from the Reformation period of the 1500s till 1800ss, when the church was alive and hot for Christ. The best tool I found to study the Bible is a free software program called e-Sword.  It gives easy access to Bible commentaries from the top Bible scholars of the 1700 and 1800’s, such as:

  • Albert Barnes’ Notes on the New and Old Testaments.
  • John Calvin’s Commentaries.
  • Adam Clarke’s Commentary on the Bible.
  • Commentary from the 1599 edition of the Geneva Bible.
  • John Gill’s Exposition of the Entire Bible.
  • Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible.
  • Matthew Henry’s Whole Bible Commentary.
  • Matthew Poole’s Commentary on the Holy Bible.
  • John Wesley’s Bible Notes.

The truth really does set you free, but as long as you let the teachings of the lukewarm church tell you what YHVH said, you will drown in the lukewarm gospel of the modern church. Jesus said to the end time church:

“So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth”. Rev 3:16

The TRUTH is not in denominations! If you are a follower of Yeshua, you are told in Rev 18:4 “to come out of her”.
