Jos 5:6 For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD sware that he would not shew them the land, which the LORD sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
Luk 11:28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
A train runs smoothly while on the tracks.
It stays on the tracks by obeying the laws of physics.
Likewise, a Disciple of Yeshua is on a path to Heaven.
He stays on the path by obeying the Commands of Yeshua.
The Great Commission – What Does It Really Mean?
This was the last commandment Jesus (Yeshua) issued to His disciples before His ascension.
There are really two parts that consist of what is commonly referred to as the “Great Commission of Jesus Christ.”
1) Go to all nations and baptize new disciples.
2) Teach the new disciples to obey everything I (Jesus) commanded you (disciples).
So Jesus is very clear that all of His disciples, in all nations, are to obey everything He commanded. But, this command has been diluted, twisted and deliberately misinterpreted in order to deceive you into obeying men instead of YHVH. This is a form of idolatry.

So, You want to be a Christian
In Luke 14, Jesus lays out the terms of discipleship. There were great crowds following Him. Everyone loved the miracles, healing, and free food. Jesus was cool, the talk of the town, and the latest fad. But He knew their hearts. He knew they desired the benefits of what He did rather than an understanding of who He was. They loved His gifts, not the life He was calling them to. So He explained what it takes to be one of His followers in Luke 14: 26-33.
“Counting the cost” means recognizing and agreeing to some terms first. In following Christ, we cannot simply follow our own inclinations. We cannot follow Him and the world’s way at the same time (Matthew 7:13-14). Following Him may mean we lose relationships, dreams, material things, or even our lives.
Jesus is very clear that all of His disciples, in all nations, are to obey everything He commanded. “If you love me, you will obey my commandments. John 14:15.

Love God with ALL Your Heart
Jesus said to him, “‘you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your
soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second
is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang
all the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:37 – 40)
