Once Saved Always Saved – Is It True?
I am 70 years old and grew up in a Baptist church. I always struggled with the words, might be saved, shalt be saved, may be saved, will be saved, being saved, work out your salvation and “for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed”. And let’s not forget , endure, perseverance and running a race. Why did I struggle; because, those words and phrases are always associated with the salvation theology. They always gave me doubt and an uneasy spirit when listening to sermons on Once Saved Always Saved (OSAS). The pastor or teacher ALWAYS skipped over those words and phrases (ALWAYS).
